As a boy and young man Dan enjoyed the same pastimes as many young New Hampshire folks, namely hiking, swimming, and skiing. It was around his 18th birthday that Dan remembers first becoming interested in the art form of working with glass. Many of his early projects were simple ranging from simple cylinders to small glasses; however, he soon began designing and creating vases and glassware for friends and family. It was at this point that Dan began to realize, “Hey, maybe I can do this for a living.”

Since then Dan has apprenticed with some of the areas top glass blowers and opened his own workshop and studio. In this time Dan has turned out many beautiful heirloom quality glass pieces made in various different manners. As a fine artisan Dan Cavin has honest pride in all the work he completes.
